Slack Integration Overview

If your team uses Slack to communicate internally or with business teams (or both), Lumadata's Slack integration is a great add-on to ensure information about data issues reaches all engineers and stakeholders in a timely fashion. In addition to posting messages, Lumadata provides an actionable link within the message that allows engineers to quickly acknowledge an alert without having to log into the Lumadata platform.

Connecting to Slack

To integrate Slack with Lumadata, you need to grant access to Lumadata through Slack.

• Log into Lumadata as an administrator and navigate to Settings -> Apps and Integration -> Slack.
• Click the Add to Slack button. This button will direct you to the Slack website where you'll sign into your workspace and authorize Lumadata to connect. After logging into your workspace as an administrator, when prompsted, click Allow to authorize Lumadata to access your workspace.
• When complete, you'll be redirected back to Lumadata. Click the Edit button and choose which channel in your workspace you would like Lumadata to post messages into whenever alerts are raised.

That's it! Whenever issues are detected, Lumadata will post messages into this channel. You can change this channel at any time and revoke access if needed.
